Registration 2017

Homewood City Schools will be using InfoSnap again this year for online registration. This year, the student’s health information and medical contacts will be entered online.  Keep in mind that you may start the process, save entries, and resume at a later time. We hope that you will find the use of InfoSnap even more convenient!

Registration is a two-part process. Students will not be registered for school until the online and onsite processes have both been completed. More information regarding the onsite process is below. Note that deadlines for each of these processes may vary for your students depending on where they will be attending school. 

·         All students who will be attending our elementary and middle schools next year have a Tuesday, May 30th deadline.

·         All students who will be attending the high school next year have a Friday, June 30th deadline.

To begin the online process and to access more information about using InfoSnap, follow the instructions below under Getting Started. Once logged in, carefully read all information on the Introduction page before proceeding.

When you have completed the online process, print the required forms from InfoSnap and bring all the documents listed below to the front office for the onsite certification of residency.

1.      Certificate of Residence

2.       Any school-specific forms, if applicable for your child's school/grade level

Students who have completed both the online and onsite processes and have confirmed expenses based on class schedules should finalize payments as needed prior to the start of school.  There is an option for middle and high school students to make online payments.

Getting Started with InfoSnap

Users may toggle between Spanish and English once logged in using the drop down at the top center of the screen.

Technical Support for Families 

PowerSchool Registration service will be offline nationwide for scheduled maintenance on the dates listed below from 10 p. m CDT to 12 a. m. CDT.  During these times, InfoSnap will not be available:  Saturday, May 13, 2017 and Saturday, May 20, 2017

ONSITE REGISTRATION

Registration is a two-part process. Students will not be registered for school until the online and onsite processes have both been completed.

The onsite process will include certification of residence for all students as well as the completion of the 2017-18 Free and Reduced Lunch Application.  Additional components may include completion of other forms and finalizing payments.  This process may be completed throughout the summer according to the schools’ schedule as indicated in the letter sent to you by the school. 

For each school, the following information will be required for certification of residence:

1.      July power or gas bill that shows the service or property address, not the mailing address  (Telephone, cell phone, and cable bills will not be accepted)

2.      Current lease that lists all occupants or property tax notice

An acceptable document for the property tax notice may be obtained by visiting the Jefferson County, Alabama Citizen Access Portal.  Select Property Tax on the left. At the top, you may search for your property by last name, Parcel Number, or Address.  Print and bring the tax record to the school(s).
