Strategic Plan

Every organization needs a road map to advance from where it is now to where it wants to be in the future.  Since 1996, The Homewood Board of Education has successfully used The Strategic Planning process to guide us as a school district and a community.  Developing this plan every five years is a collaborative process that includes teachers, community members, parents, students, and school leaders.

During the 2016-2017 school year, we will be developing Homewood City Schools’ fifth 5 year plan using the Strategic Planning process.  During this process, we will identify the goals, dreams, and perspectives of our stakeholders and transform them into our priorities.  These priorities become the driving force for the district’s actions during the upcoming five year period.

This exciting planning venture will determine the most critical elements of the actions required for excellence in the next five years.  strategic plan well done can take us places we never thought possible!

We hope that everyone will be a part of that voice.

The online sign up form for action teams will be posted on the district website from Jan. 4 - 11, 2017.
