    Edgewood Elementary School is one of three elementary schools located in Homewood, Alabama. The school serves over 800 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Edgewood School was first established in the 1920s and has remained a vital part of the Homewood community for over ninety years. We have been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Edgewood believes in our district's mission of empowering every student to maximize his or her unique potential. 

    At Edgewood Elementary, we believe that it is important to care for and notice the “Best You” in others and that every individual should strive to be his or her “Best Me.”  Each of us is also part of a community and world that is bigger than each individual. Therefore, we believe that together we can be our “Best We.” “Best You, Best Me, Best We” makes up Edgewood’s “Best Three” program.
