HCS Covid-19 Dashboard
Homewood City Schools will continue to provide our community with school Covid-19 information. Although this is not scientific information, we want to be sure to share our Covid-19 information with our families as it is reported to our schools.
In the 2021-2022 HCS Covid-19 Information spreadsheet, you will be able to view the total number of students/employees absent for Covid-19 each week. The spreadsheet also shows the number of close contacts allowed to remain in school due to full vaccination status.
The percentages in the spreadsheet are determined by the reported positive cases/close contact cases by the total population coming on campus everyday. Please remember that these numbers indicate data that is self-reported to us by parents, students, and faculty and staff.
We will update this information every Friday. Please see the timestamp on the spreadsheet. To view the 2021-2022 HCS Covid-19 Information spreadsheet, please click here.
While there are different perspectives on facial coverings, I think we can all agree that we all care about the health of our children, teachers, and staff. It is important that our students see us working together to face the challenges of Covid-19 and doing everything possible to keep our students and staff in school. I believe we can be models for our students by showing them how we handle our differences respectfully and compassionately.
As a reminder, before attending school each day, parents should monitor the health of their children for overall wellness. Parents are encouraged to take their children’s temperatures daily and determine if signs of illness exist. Students and staff who have a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, are exhibiting signs of being ill, or are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, should not come to school. The school nurse will report confirmed positive Covid-19 cases of students/staff to the ADPH. Click here to see HCS Covid-19 School Health Guidelines for home isolation information.
