After the Bell
What is your child doing after school? Homewood Middle School provides an after school program called “After the Bell.” The primary focus is to help strengthen academics. Each student in the program is provided a snack, study hall with tutoring from high school AP students, and supervised activities until 5:30 p.m. Students must be independent and have the ability to work independently while in the program. After the Bell lacks the staff and facility to provide one-on-one care to its students. Because there is no Registered or Certified nurse on duty to provide medical care, we DO NOT administer medication.
FEES FOR THE SERVICE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
$40.00 NON-refundable REGISTRATION FEE
$45.00 PER WEEK
$110.00 Monthly Rate for DECEMBER ONLY
$180.00 Monthly Rate for FULL TIME PARTICIPATION
$15.00 Daily DROP-IN RATE for REGISTERED STUDENTS
$20.00 Daily DROP-IN Rate for NON-REGISTERED STUDENTS
$20.00 LATE PICK-UP/APPLICABLE AFTER 5:45 p.m.
Payment must be received by the 1st or the 15th of each month. If payment is not made by the 15th of each month, your child will not be able to continue in the program.
If you owe a balance from the previous school year, your child will not be able to enroll for the new school year. All past due fees must be paid before your child will be able to attend (PAYMENT MUST BE IN CASH).
All HMS students must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. or be in the supervision of a coach or teacher. Any students remaining on campus will be brought into the building and must stay in the After the Bell Program until an ADULT checks the child out from the After the Bell Room (127).
DAILY RATES ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF PICK-UP.
