Community Events

    • August 23rd- HHS Open House at 6:00p. Copies of student schedules can be picked up in the lobby of the Auditorium from 5:45p-6:00p. The program will begin in the Auditorium at 6:00p, and parents will be dismissed to their first period class shortly thereafter. 
    • The first Safe and Healthy Homewood Coalition meeting of the school year is Tuesday, August 23rd at 11:30 am. Meet in-person at the Homewood Board of Education office and virtually by Google Meet- Link HERE.
    • August 24th- Club Fair from 11:40a-1:20p in the library. Click HERE for link to the website listing of all HHS clubs. Clubs will begin meeting soon!
    • August 26th- Gameday Dress-Up- Opponent: Vestavia, Theme: "Rock the Rebels", How to Dress: Wear a rock band shirt or dress like your favorite rock star.
    • August 26th- Pep Rally at 2:30p- students, faculty, and staff only. It will be live streamed through the NFHS Network (free to view).
    • August 27th- Back to School Bash 4:30pm-8:30pm at Patriot Park. The HHS Band will play at 6:45pm. Band parents: they need volunteers to help run the rides in two shifts: 4:30-6:30pm and 6:30-8:30pm. Band students can volunteer to help and get hours for service clubs but they can only work the first shift.

      Proceeds from the wristband sales go to benefit the Homewood High School Band.

    • REMINDER! This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Homewood Patriot Marching Band. And to commemorate the occasion, HHS is excited to announce the 50th Reunion Alumni Band! The band will play during pregame and participants will have the opportunity to tour the incredible new band room at the high school.     • September 9th- Gameday Dress-Up- Opponent: Calera, Theme: "Country Club Calera", How to Dress: Wear preppy clothes.
    • September 15th- Homecoming Parade- 4:30p- Downtown Homewood
    • September 16th- Pep Rally at 2:20p
    • September 16th- Homecoming Presentation- Pre-game recognition of Senior Awards winners and Homecoming Attendants
    • September 16th- After the Game Party at Trinity United Methodist Church from 9ish to 11:30pm. More info coming soon!
    • September 17th- Homecoming Dance at Waldrop Stadium from 7:00p-10:00p. More info coming soon!
