Homewood’s Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for the 16th Year

April 12, 2022 – Homewood has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.  Now in its 23rd year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

This is the 16th year Homewood has received this honor, and this year Homewood was only one of four communities in the State of Alabama selected as one of the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME). The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.
