Homewood High School Named a 2020 Best High School by U.S. News & World Report

April 21, 2020 - Congratulations to Homewood High School for being ranked the fourth best high school in Alabama by the U.S. News & World Report rankings of best high schools in the country.


The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Of the 18,000 schools that were ranked, HHS was nationally ranked #362 based on the school’s performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.


The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2020 Best High Schools rankings are those whose attendees demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math and reading state assessments, passed a diverse array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions,” U.S. News stated.
