HCS Names Hall-Kent Elementary Assistant Principal 

Homewood City Schools is proud to announce Ashley Paulk as Hall-Kent Elementary School’s Assistant Principal for Instruction. She has worked in education for 17 years and is currently the Title I math teacher at Hall-Kent.

Paulk began her teaching career in Mountain Brook City Schools where she taught first grade and was named Cherokee Bend Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year. In 2015, she joined the Homewood community as a third grade teacher at Hall-Kent before serving as the school’s Title I math teacher where she provides Tier III math instruction for grades 1-5.

While at Hall-Kent, Paulk has worked with first and second year teachers as an Instructional Partner, led data meetings with grade-level teams, and is an active member of the school’s instructional leadership team. She was also selected to serve as Hall-Kent’s assistant principal to fulfill a maternity leave in 2019.

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her educational leadership degree from the University of West Alabama.
