Homewood’s Music Education Program Receives National Recognition for the 17th Year

Homewood City Schools has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 24th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

Homewood is one of five districts in Alabama to be named a Best Community for Music Education. This is the 17th year Homewood has received this honor, and this award recognizes the outstanding efforts by our teachers, administrators, parents, students, & community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education for our community.
