The Homewood Board of Education recognizes that a healthy student is a more productive learner and that many healthy habits are developed during the K-12 years.  Homewood City Schools strives to provide health services and wellness education to students in order to maximize the learning potential of all Homewood students.

The flu vaccine clinics at Homewood City Schools will be held the week of November 3rd-7th. If you are interested in having your child receive the flu vaccine at the school clinic you are required to do the following: 

 

• Print and complete the Student Influenza Vaccine Registration and Consent Form. 

• SIGN the Student Influenza Vaccine Registration and Consent Form – Your child cannot be vaccinated without your signature. 

• Provide a copy of your child’s insurance or Medicaid card (front and back), or indicate if your child does not have insurance coverage. 

• Return both the completed form and insurance copies to the school nurse.

Wellness

The Homewood City School System is committed to providing a school environment that enhances learning and develops lifelong wellness practices. Schools will encourage students to develop healthy habits of eating and physical activity.  

The HCS' Wellness Program helps students, teachers, and staff members to have the information and the atmosphere to individually achieve a healthy quality of life and to maximize their potential.
